Life's Grand Ride
Life is like a fast moving train
Speeding full steam ahead to worldly gain.
One never knows what's around the next bend,
This train could stop short, life coming to an end.
The train of life speeds ahead at such fast pace.
And no living person can escape this race.
There's not much time for our minds to be stilled,
Life just has so... many demands to be filled.
Neighbors no longer come over just to chat,
It appears we don't have time anymore for that.
We're too busy rushing ahead on life's great ride,
Until finally in death we are pulled aside.
Should death suddenly end this ride so grand.,
How in the books of Heaven will we stand?
Will our spiritual life be found in ill repair,
Or did we take time to spiritually prepare?
There won't be a chance to change it all in the end,
So the question for you and me is this, my friend;
When life's ride is over for me, where will I be,
Resting safely in Jesus or lost eternally?
