The burdens of a cruel world
are many and hard to bear
Young and old alike are laden
with a load of guilt and care
Lives are filled with misery,
struggles of war and strife
Yoking up with Jesus gives
assurance of a better life.

If we will accept His gracious
offer, leaving all worldly
cares behind
Jesus will continue a work
within us; changing our
heart and mind
He will work out His will
within us as we co-operate
with Him
The troubles and cares of
this earthly life will grow
faint and dim.

There is a way to bring
heartaches and unhappiness
to an end
Yes, Jesus is the answer
to every problem of life
my friend
Partnership with Jesus
doesn't instantly remove
every trial or sorrow
It does however promise
victory and a brighter
tomorrow.
