As my 80th birthday draws nigh
At life we each get only one
We don't know every bump
At every curve, Satan sets
Let Him be your companion
I think over my life and give
a sigh
If possible so many things
would be changed
but that can never, ever, be
arranged
time around
till we will hear the great
trumpet sound
When we start out on this
walk of life
with all its joys, sorrows
and strife
in the road
or we would be careful how
we carry our load
When we meet Jesus
somewhere in route..
then we begin to learn what
it's all about
up a snare
so I'm telling you, my friend,
do beware
Let Jesus walk with you
all the way
for our sins, with His
life, He did pay
every day
you will be glad you did
at the end, I say!
When the walk gets more
than you can do
Jesus will pick you up, and
carry you!
